Many of my readers will be surprised to know – well, maybe not – that I have attained Senior Citizenship. It has its benefits, one of which is to enjoy ticket concessionary status at many sporting events. Such is the case when I have the pleasure of watching London Wasps play in the Aviva Rugby Premiership. To stand on the Greene King terrace – which is what I prefer to do – for the London Wasps versus Saracens match on Saturday I paid the princely sum of £16.50. What fantastic value for money! The matchday programme told me – all right, there were changes to the printed teams – that between them London Wasps and Saracens fielded well over twenty current and past rugby union internationals. Where else would you pay so little to see so many international stars. Well done – again – London Wasps and the Aviva Rugby Premiership. You really do make watching top class sport affordable.
This Friday London Wasps take on Leinster in an Amlin Trophy quarter-final. Believe it or not, prices have been reduced! Come on you Wasps!
